A US Passport Card is a compact document (the size of a credit card) issued by the US Department of State that serves as an identity card and a limited travel document for US citizens. It allows crossing land and sea borders from Mexico, Canada, the Caribbean, and Bermuda, but is not valid for international air travel.

Key features of the US Passport Card:
Usage: It is used for entry into the USA by land or sea from neighboring countries, as well as for domestic flights in the USA.
Restrictions: It cannot be used for international flights.
Identification card: Meets the requirements of a Real ID, so it can be used as a full-fledged ID in the United States.
Validity period: The same as a regular book (10 years for adults, 5 years for children).
Price: It costs significantly less than a passport book.
Convenience: It fits easily into a wallet and is convenient for those who live near the border and often cross it.

The difference between a card and a book:
A passport Book is required for air travel to any country. A Passport Card is a convenient addition for frequent trips to Canada or Mexico, as well as a convenient identification document.
